In his previous Boston appearance in August, overzealous fans rushed the stage and nearlyderailed his free concert at Government Center. His two sold-out shows Sunday at the Paradise passed free of any major incidents. That meant, for better or worse, that there was nothing to distract from the music itself.
Sunday’s shows capped off an eventful two months for the 23-year-old Pittsburgh rapper-of-the-moment, who kicked off the Waken Baken Tour with co-star Big K.R.I.T. in September. Since then, he has sold 90,000 tickets (according to his publicist), shared the stage with Diddy and Chris Brown, been arrested for marijuana possession and watched his single, “Black and Yellow,” crack 6 million views on YouTube.
